I'd assume they'd connect as well, but who knows? none of the Switch 1 controllers will have the functionality of the new button on the Switch 2 joycon, so that could be a factor depending on how integral that button is (which I'd again assume not a deal breaker)

I'd assume they will as well. obviously they won't physically connect, but I'm sure you'll be able to connect like you can to a Switch Lite. could be a way of keeping IR functionality if the new ones lose that feature, so you can keep playing stuff like Ring Fit Adventure
