Sadly I don't have any King Crimson in my collection. To be honest, I never really heard of them until I started collecting vinyl about 6 years ago. I'm sure I've broken some tenet of music listening or something!
It fits all the clues except for the 45 one. It has sax and sexy keyboard, it's on 200g vinyl, and it's called Islands so that was the Maori link. I knew it was a snowball's chance, but figured I'd throw it up anyway. And I highly recommended their first few albums. Great stuff.
Great job everyone. We are so close to the first big reveal for my second choice of album! All of the clues were designed to describe two albums up to this point (and apparently a few others as well ). The specific type of tribe will most likely give up my second choice.
So yes, my first choice album has saxophone, it isn't the main instrument, nor are keyboards. The solo artist does play both. The "200g vinyl" only fits with my second choice, however 200g "something" has a connection to my first choice artist. 45 RPM applies to both. Tribal applies to both, but my first choice is more general "feeling" while my second choice is more literal once the type of tribe is revealed.
From here on out the clues will be more specific to my first choice. Without further ado....

Two clues are meant to come out this photo.
Keep those guess flowing!
Edit: Keyboards are the main instrument of my second choice. Sax is background.
This album is one of my all time favorites and would probably be my "deserted island" record. It is just funky and has stayed fresh all these years for me. If I ever get an earworm that I don't want in my head, I always think of this album to free my mind. I very well could have chosen this one for the RotM, but figured my other selection may get more fresh ears on it.
So there are about a 100 or more variants of this record, but it does have a 200g option and 45 RPM options. There was a bit of a dust-up in the discogs editing wars over the 180 vs 200g, which made me think of that clue. Bennie Maupin plays several saxophones on this. This album while technically not a solo album, Herbie Hancock is the main artist and he plays keyboards obviously.
And random thought with this album.... It is conceivable that yours truly was conceived with this record since it was released in October of 1973.... I was born about 9 months later!!
Note this is NOT the RotM, but for those that do not have this, here are a few links to purchase:
This is one of Herbie's funkiest records andone of the best selling albums in Jazz, due to the fact it appealed to a broad audience - think Hip Hop, Funk, Soul & Jazz Funk fans

As a wannabe audiophile, I do recommend the acoustic sounds versions. They are top notch, especially the 45rpm version, a bit pricey but worth it to me.

Looking up artist who play both Sax and keyboard who are similar in genre to prince lead me to Terrence Trent D’arby. I can’t make any connections beyond that but I’m just gonna throw it out there
