Even if you are gonna use Chat GPT to write an article they could have had it written in the style of a music magazine article. This is like the first thing AI would spit out if given the prompt “Write up something about Lady Gaga’s Coachella performance” and then just posted the first thing it generated.

Not to mention ChatGPT couldn’t have watched Gaga’s performance, so they obviously just took what others wrote and regurgitated it.

VMP has had these weird AI generated pages for at least 6 months. You could find whole band discographies and bios on their site for bands they never released albums for. It’s really bizarre.

Conventional wisdom is that the listings are being updated by automation (as was the practice prior to firing the entire staff.). I have not heard word of anyone getting shipping notice for April, but they would have really just started. I think they are done done and we are just waiting for some kind of confirmation at this point.
