So here's the official explanation from Pauly.

For some Context:
We did this with the Euphoria repress that we did, and its because we don't have an exact timeline on when it will ship. Its far out currently, and long pre orders, possibly followed by delay emails, are never fun.
We are trying out this method, where you can add yourself to the waitlist, so once we have a timeline, and we can put it up for sale, you will receive an email about it.
Let me know if that helps clear things up or not. Sorry for the confusion!

don't blame them. none of the fiona's have been limited at all though. every single one has gotten repressed. they seem to have a good relationship with fiona and have exclusive but open runs as long as people want them.

The only bummer is if I sign up today to hopefully grab it but my 3 month ends before they put it on sale then I'm out of luck.

ok but....why not do it as a preorder? i've still got stuff i'm waiting for and preorders have been pending for ages

If they preorder without a date, people will flood CS with "WHEN IS IT GOING TO SHIP" questions, I'm guessing this way they'll have a firmer idea on when it will actually be ready to ship to avoid strain on the employees.

or just wait to announce it? also seems like kind of a way to keep members "hostage"....don't want to miss out on the drop if you're not a member!
