Concord isn't gonna give VMP the best of the best as exclusives IMO. But if you like any of these titles, most of them haven't had reissues in 30+ years. I kinda like that they are lesser known titles.

the thing i don't get is regular jazz dispensary titles are $25 with the same pressing and mastering specs as these. so is VMP buying them at cost from Concord and then selling them at twice the markup?

As someone attempting to cull about 100 albums from my collection I can really feel this. I get dropping $50 on one of these albums if they are a favorite but these types of albums used to be stuff you pick up for like $5 from the used record bin at your local on a whim because they had a cool cover and then were pleasantly surprised by the funkiness of the grooves. I’d rather dedicate the $50 (and the space) towards something spin a little more often.
