I haven’t really checked out rising while I was away nor have I checked out stuff since I came back, but back in the beginning - Rising was one of my favorite things about VMP.

100% on this. It was something I looked forward to.

Before they burned down their stupid sticky pudding web forum, that last year of rising was fantastic and some of my best purchases. Mormor, becky and the birds, what are some others...???

I really enjoyed The Shacks which was a perfect summery jangly pop album

And Gang Of Youths was fantastic too.

Probably are. This is the first one I’ve paid any attention to in a while.

As much as I loved the album which I would give a 4/5, I have been LOSING MY MIND watching their live shows. I give those a 12/5.

I just realized that after all these years and countless VMP purchases, I only actually own two VMP Rising releases: Charlotte Day Wilson and the totally slept on All Things Blue. Yogetsu Akasaka will be my third.
