for earth day they are going to be releasing records that were set aside with superficial jacket damage (like torn shrink). 8-10 albums like De La Soul - 3 Feet High and then mystery bundles of other titles.

Assuming the premium titles are sold at $20 a pop, 3 for 50 seems like not much of a deal.

Agreed and I’m not sure I want to drop more after RSD this weekend. That said I’ll check it out and will be camera off on a zoom meeting at noon as my Internet will be “spotty”

Don’t think anything ever impresses you at least pertaining to VMP haha
VMP 3 feet high sells for $80+ online and has the original samples. So getting it for $20 with a ripped outer sleeve isn’t bad if you can get one

I mean the Country track and Classics track overall does.
De La for $20 ain’t bad. It’s the mystery bundle starting at fifty that seems steep to me.
Their constant hype for everything is tiring and FOMO is exhausting. They expect you to stop what you are doing at noon three to four times a week. When there is something I’m truly excited about, site crashes keep me from having a fair shot or they send the details after the whole thing is done. When was their plant supposed to open? What record was a big deal repress would be the first one out of it?
I mean even the communication on this is whacky… hey these are the records we stash away and we’ve pilfered everything we want… buy what’s left randomly for a weirdly high price.
I might also still be cranky about the head of the company personally being a dick to me.

It was Matt and it was during the shut down of the forums. To be honest, I don’t remember what it was but it was real insensitive especially coming from the head of the company at a time when everyone was upset. I’m sure @Indymisanthrope or someone can quote it.

At least Lee isn't like a good portion of the people on the discord who will buy just about anything for the FOMO factor or because it is pressed by VMP. Not everything VMP does is good, like Lee I enjoy the country track but I don't regularly buy them from unless there is a sale. A decent amount of the stuff that they do is just a more expensive variant. With that said I am probably an outlier in my musical taste so they don't generally appeal to me with much stuff. They aren't as bad as some make them out to be, nor are they as good as they the discord makes them seem.
