Y’all be good. I am on a small tropical island for the next week hanging out with the local sea life.
Alright New Orleans people, I will be attending a convention for work in December, what area is close to the convention center and things to do? Found a few options in Central City near St Charles Ave, is that close with things to do?

Downtown is going to have more music venues, check to see who is playing at Tipitinas, House of Blues, and the Joy theater. Also catch a haunted history tour in the quarter if you can.

The streetcar line is on St Charles, which is a big part of the reason I’m looking around there. Appreciate the help!

I don’t know what the weather will be like, but my wife did a walking ghost tour that was really cool. Don’t remember the name of the company but I believe it met close to the Louis Armstrong park
Going to see Crumb and Vahabon tonight!

I feel like it's newrly impossible to get set times since Covid so I guess we'll just have to play it by ear

Idk how but I completely forgot this song existed. Which is a total shame because I absolutely adore it! So happy it randomly popped into my head today

It’s back on Spotify?!? It was gone last time I looked for it a year or so ago. Good to know. Great song. The Marcia Griffiths reggae version is pretty strong too.
AMC running a marathon of the “A Nightmare on Elm Street” movies as part of their annual FearFest programming, but opting to show them in reverse order, is peak AMC.

No, it’s been running all day today. They’re on 2 now, the original will follow, and then the remake…because AMC. Tomorrow they are doing Friday the 13th, and they are going 4-Jason Goes to Hell, and then 1-3. It’s such a struggle for them.

Are they edited tho? I don’t have cable anymore so unsure how non-streamers are displaying content these days.

AMC is edited for content. Sundance also shows edited versions, as does BBC America. IFC used to be the one that didn't show edited films.
