  • the audio here is, uh, okay- considering it's one mic on a hill in the middle of nowhere AND it was insanely windy and cold- but we recorded the acoustic session if you're interested: goodtimes 2019 😊you can hear Kelsey and the guitarist rubbing their hands for warmth sometimes
Noah Gundersen just doesn't get enough credit as a songwriter. He continues to make great albums.

A friend just told me about him last week and I really enjoyed Lover.

@Memo @dbarila Check out the Family EP, Saints and Liars EP and White Noise. Those are my favorites, but I dig all of his music.

I favorite is Carry the Ghost. I've been following him for quite sometime, but again, I'll have to overcome that cover lol
Also, The Killer+The Sound mashup with Phoebe is *chef kiss*
I've not been a huge fan of the original material of the Highwomen, but their covers are on point. Maybe they should have just made a covers records.

Agree on all accounts. To me they're a band with 4 very, very good vocalists individually, but as a group there's not much that meshes them together that makes it something magical. They're just 4 good singers singing at the same time. This song is a perfect example of that.

Yeah, unfortunately I was really looking forward to this and while their stuff has been ok, nothing has blown me away yet. Pistol Annies set the bar high on female country supergroups.
Edit: Actually I take that back. Pistol Annies set the bar high for country supergroups period (and country in general).

Yeah, I’m a fan of the work of all four of these women individually, and ordered the lp because of that. The songs I’ve heard off of it so far have been uneven. This one, is not good.
People do not sleep on this Angie McMahon record. Been listening to it on Spotify in anticipation of the Magnolia Discovery Artist Record. It is so good.
You know what really grinds my gears. When a Discogs seller will not answer my question about an item.

@Twentytwo @Melt Face Molly Drop When I place an order on Discogs, if I have any concern as soon as I order I go to the order page and add a note along the lines of "I am only interested in this specific version in this specific condition. If anything seems amiss please let me know before sending." Or something to that effect.

This way, you get the order in, you don't miss out, and if something is wrong the order can be cancelled before it is shipped. If the seller says "whops, wrong version/problem", I ask them to be sure to cancel as 'Item Unavailable' so they cannot neg you.

If they cancel as Cancelled Per Buyer's Request, I put in a service request to Discogs to get the cancellation reason changed, just to be safe.
Debating on signing up for Blind Tiger Record Club to get the Ian Noe autographed record for $5. Required 3 month commitment, should I do it or not?
Craig Finn's We All Want The Same Things is a perfect album! I have probably listened to this album more than any other this year. Yes I know it came out in 2017.

I have put some *miles* on that album as well. I was always worried his solo work would be Hold Steady Lite but I think it really stands on its own so well.

@Corycm His Hold Steady work doesn't jump out to me immediately but I love everyone of his solo records for some reason. Probably the opposite way for most people.

I feel like I come on here about once every 2 months to say exactly that.
