The Beatles - Abbey Road



This was the mic drop. It’s all here - the rip off of Chuck Berry, the psychedelia, the annoying Macca ear worm, great songs making up a great album. Unfortunately, the bean counters needed Let It Be to be released and anthologies made and reunion songs concocted… but this was everything that had been and would be and The End.

Burial - Untrue

Burial has made lots of great music since this 2007 album, but it seems like this was the culmination of his career as an album-maker- since then, everything has been a single or E.P. To be fair, this would be a tough one to follow up.

I haven't felt the urge to play any records outside of RSD for the last few weeks (on top of coming down with a bad cold immediately after RSD) so I wasn't able to complete this month. You did a great job hosting tho @LeSamourai and I hope I can be more active in the May thread...
