I'm just outside Philly too and it was the same thing - left Jersey City on the 12th and then just "in transit". Midday today it updated to in Philly and now on the way to my local post office. Hoping to get it tomorrow.
 
It would've been amusing if they went in a stair step pattern from Blue Note being smallest to tallest. But it's Blue Note that's even with Stax.

Since Storf said before that he had Stax, Motown, and Ghostly hats on in previous unboxings that were hints for towards the upcoming anthologies, anyone know what label this hat would be for?

Storf said the next Anthology will be a left field selection. No Chess Anthology this year. Would like to do a time period Anthology. Al Green/Fat Possum Anthology is a possibility.

I find with these anthologies that I like the earlier LPs most, and this leads me to believe that (because everyone is like me), that they could be hugely successful if they did an anthology that spanned a few years. Like Chess Blues 1968-1970. These labels generally have a sweet spot that appeals to most people, and I'd rather have a bunch of earlier LPs vs later.

This exact same thing happened to me. I had them on to put the platter on the turntable and my girlfriend walked through the door and we both just froze. I was embarrassed. She was embarrassed. She knew I knew she was embarrassed. I knew she knew I was embarrassed. It was embarrassing.

What’s so embarrassing about the white gloves??? I don’t get it??? 🤔

Does it look too sexual or naughty or too dirty professor something like that??? 🤔

I honestly can’t think of why it would be embarrassing? Only thing that comes to mind is washing the dishes with gloves on because of sensitive skin, doing pharmaceutical/process work, pulling out the weeds/gardening or putting them on because you need to wipe someone’s bum! 🤷‍♂️

She already thinks I take looking after records to an obsessive level so I guess the addition of gloves took it to a whole new level :ROFLMAO:

OMG, that makes so much sense!!! 😅💡

Awwwww, now I just want a vinyl boyfriend who has that much knowledge and care when it comes to vinyl and setups and cleanliness with records! 😩😩🤫
