06. Poltergeist (1982) 
This movie gave me nightmares for weeks when I saw it as a kid. It was one of the first times I’d seen kids in real danger. And then of course so many of the scenes really seem geared towards scaring the shit out of kids stupid toy clown!
Anyway, rewatched this and had a grand time. Great score too

They do a night time showing of this in Tennessee near Knoxville that I went to once where you watch it while floating in a tube on the water. It takes it to another level. Highly recommend!05. Jaws (1975)
A classic. I don’t think I was intending to watch this when I did but it’s one of those movies that I leave on when I see it playing. One of the reasons why my spouse hates the ocean, I love putting it on and watching him squirm

22. The Babysitter: Killer Queen
I'd probably watch these both again. This one was different enough from the first to be a fun movie too. It plays on the tropes without climbing up it's own ass or being dull. A medium level of cheese. My wife disliked it more than the first one which she thought was terrible. I'm currently being mocked for having watched it, lol.

3. Halloween Kills (2021)
Glad I refreshed myself on the last one before seeing this, as I could see being a little lost if I forgot a lot of details. I went with 2 friends, and we were the only ones in the whole ultrascreen theater which was nice. Fit well with the last one, and am looking forward to the finale. This one definitely has the most kills by Michael in all the other ones, however I don't remember the Rob Zombie ones too well.

09. The Hunger (1983)
Let’s see. Catherine Deneuve and David Bowie as vampires? Also starring Susan Sarandon? Yes yes yes. So much to love about this atmospheric vampire tale. I try to see it every year.
Too bad they changed the ending. Would be a solid 5 skulls if they hadn’t.
Bonus points for the intercut of Peter Murphy/Bauhaus singing “Bela Lugosi’s Dead” in the opening club scene

10. Young Frankenstein (1974)
When my dad first showed this to me as a kid, I didn’t get all the jokes. But I sure as hell laughed at the ones I did get. And as I grew older, I loved that I could get something new out of it every time. A fantastic movie, and holds a special place amongst the movies my dad wanted me to see growing up.
Watched this recently and I still laughed at all the jokes.

11. It (2017)
This was actually my first time watching this version. I’d read the book a few times, I’d seen the 1990 mini-series when it came out, and when this came out I just couldn’t really summon the interest
But I liked it. It really was good, and the changes that were made were not anything that took away from the overall story, which I appreciated since I know it so well. Glad I gave it a chance

12. Elvira: Mistress of the Dark (1988)
My parents loved her Movie Macabre television show and sometimes I would watch with them. She wasn’t anything scary, and those b-movies that played on her show are pretty tame now, but I was more sensitive to even mildly scary things back then, so for a while I equated Elvira with nightmares. And then this movie came out, and I realized what camp meant. I love Elvira, even if this movie is the cheesiest cheese

It's nice to see her having a bit of a comeback...with her anniversary marathon on Shudder and her current Netflix Halloween gig. I know this is more to promote her book, but still...it's nice to see.

Yeah. It would have been a bit awkward if they actually used EVERYTHING that happened in the sewers from the book. That part was just odd when I read that as a kid.

I had myself a trilogy marathon last afternoon/evening...then took a nap.
#33. Re-Animator (1985)
It would have been sometime in the early 90's when I first saw this movie. I think I picked up a VHS copy at some mom & pop video store that was going out of business, but this was a favorite watch during my high school days.
This now OOP limited Arrow blu ray set has the unrated version and the "integral version" which is all the gore and the extra footage that is in the R-Rated and TV versions that was added to pad the time as so much was removed from the movie.
This is now my go-to version....it is about 15 minutes longer than the unrated version.
