Discogs - Help, Tricks, Secrets And Tips

i've been noticing albums disappear from my collection that i KNOW i entered. anybody else having this issue lately??

any chance the entry was merged with something else?

trying to wade through seemingly endless discussions on the discogs forums of this over the years hasn't really resulted in any actual admission, conclusion, or fix. i feel like it has happened to me, but my collection is large enough now that i usually just blame myself if something is inexplicably not in my collection when it definitely should be.

i thought it was just me forgetting to put something in. but there are a few things (like the IVC of Elliott Smith) that i vividly remember adding to discogs. And I went to look yesterday and it just wasn't there. then it wouldn't let me add it for awhile and later saw it added 5 copies hah.

Just saw one of my Steely Dans is missing. Unless @Mather logged in and started deleting all my Dans, something's definitely up.

Anyone ever experienced this issue (just noticed it today):

My seller store, at the header, says how many items I have for sale but the main area says "no items for sale found" (see image). Now, if I go to my inventory and filter status by "for sale", everything is there; and if I go to individual listings it shows my item(s) for sale. So...I think people can see my listings available to them but I'm not sure.

I have seen that, no rhyme or reason to it it seems. Eventually they come back.

What about a physical location that houses a bunch of records that we can touch and talk with other people about. A record libr…nevermind that’s just a record store
Flip it and reverse it!

A place that houses a bunch of records we can talk to and touch other people. A murd...nevermind, that definitely is just an audiophile's murder dungeon.

Does anybody here sell on discogs regularly? Has anyone ever been in a situation where USPS marked the package as delivered but the buyer claims they never received it?

I'm currently that buyer.. I ordered a couple records valued at $135 and it was shipped via ground advantage (insured up to $100). USPS said they delivered it last tuesday in/at mailbox but I never had a key for a parcel locker. My leasing office who has access to the mail room also confirmed they never received a package for me that day. I submitted a complaint to USPS and the supervisor came out and opened all the parcel lockers and there was no package for me in any of them. The supervisor said he'd go back and check the facility to see if it was brought back for some reason, but did confirm the delivery scan was at my location. Am I pretty much screwed and won't get my full money back? I would hope the seller would at least refund me for the $100+shipping cost, is this most likely what's going to happen? Never had USPS "lose" (steal?) a package before

Only time I've seen that happen is when they've marked it as delivered but it ended up being premature, and the package usually arrived next day, or it was being held due to insufficient postage paid. Sounds like you exercised everything you can do, and the only logical thing is maybe they put it in someone else's box (different location perhaps) and marked it as delivered. A good samaritan would hopefully just deliver to your office, otherwise they could return it to sender.

Worst case scenario is it was stolen, because if it was lost, it likely wouldn't have been marked as delivered. Maybe explain your situation to the seller and get an official message from USPS that the package is lost so they don't think you're pulling one over on them.
