Cables - one of the most taboo subjects in audio

I actually looked up Mogami on Amazon but the prices are stupid for them up here. The WBC may end up being the best bet.
Mogami Gold is pricey. Mogami W2528 with factory-molded RCAs is a pro-audio RCA cable and is dirt cheap if you can find it. I use a pair for a ten foot subwoofer run in my office.

I first saw this cable on the KAB Electro Acoustics site, but the longest one they show now is 6 ft.

Edit: 3612 is the actual model number of the 12 ft cable with molded RCA ends. $30 CAD before shipping.

Yeah. I tried that one but nothing on Amazon but the spendy Mogamis

I bought him the phono stage and got him 40 percent off the table...

And also bought him the speakers and the SACD player (last year).
And now you won’t buy him cables after all that? Man, after all the baseball practices he drove you to. Cheapskate. 🤪

Does anyone have a recommendation for a decent shielded RCA cable in the same vein as Monoprice or Blue Jeans? My dad needs a long one for his new table, trying to find something inexpensive but with some decent shielding. He's pretty remote so ideally something that can be ordered on the stupid Amazon...
What’s the actual length he needs? I may have some BJC’s I can send you for him, but they may be only 8’. I have to find them and measure.

I hate to admit this, but I think cables made a difference.

I had extra Viborg USB and AudioQuest RCA to 3.5mm cables in my drawer and switched them with the generic cables I had been using on my desk setup (see below) and I think I’m hearing improved detail and dynamics in the music. I’m going to listen with these ‘high priced’ cables the rest of the week and then switch back to the generic cables and see if I notice a difference. Full disclosure, I wasn’t expecting an improvement.

Desk Setup:
Roon Server -> M4 Mac Mini -> JDS Labs Element II -> Audyssey LES powered speakers

A guy with Rogue Audio recommended these:

He said they are well shielded for phono applications.

This is a very nice WBC cable - I'd buy them. What I like is the low capacitance and braided shield with a stranded center conductor, which should make it very flexible. Respectable Amphenol RCA plugs - no junk.

What I like a bit better about the LC-2 from BJC is that it has a double-braided shield, which can provide even more EMI rejection. But, it costs 25% more than the WBC of the same length and in most applications, the double-braided shield will not be sonically better. I'm also a sucker for the Taversoe plugs they have made for this cable.
