New Music Friday!

Reminds me a bit of Fleet Foxes with the Giant Sun EP attached to the self titled debut Guided By Voices Under The Bushes Under The Stars with the 6 song ep attached to that. They are kinda both. They were originally like a promo/preview for the album but ultimately they were also kinda folded into the album too.
On CD and streaming, the Fleet Foxes album can be purchased or listened to without Giant Sun. Sable, Fable has Sable in EVERY configuration.

I get what @BjorgenFjorgen is saying now and it’s a bit different then is it a stand alone thing. The ultimate answer to his question is - yes it is but it is also, now, definitively a part of the larger album.

So, would you say…

I was mostly pointing out that your example doesn’t exactly correlate. 😛

It’s more akin to Kendra Morris’s Banshee to me. There is the original version and now there is the longer version.

But yes, it is kind of both.

Giant Sun is not a part of Fleet Foxes - it’s a nice bonus to the vinyl package. Kind of the way on vinyl the self titled Lake Street Dive and the Fun Machine EP are packaged together. Fun Machine is not a part of the larger album, but to purchase it on vinyl you get both. Or my copy of Sugar’s Copper Blue also has Beaster.
