The SpaceHorn bass modules do need more grunt and use proprietary 500W Class D amplifiers. That’s less than you’ll see with a JL Audio 10” powered sub.

Horns are like passive acoustic amplifiers, so they use far less power than cones.

The Music Room just had a contest asking folks to send pictures of their listening room and my pic was one of the winners. They haven’t posted anything about the contest winners yet so you’ll have to take my word for it. Anyway, I thought it was cool that my humble space won against some pretty impressive looking entries as shown in their gallery. I posted a pic way back when I joined N&G but this is an updated pic with newer equipment shown. Thanks to the N&G community for supporting our hobby and creating an environment that keeps us all connected.

Someday, someday we are going to get together and groove out. My system is pretty stable right now, I’d just have to vacuum and dust to be ready for a visit from you. You aren’t taller than 6’6” are you? If so, you’ll have to crouch down to move around. The A/V polyflex diffusors take the low ceiling out of the equation when sitting in the listening chair.

I can clear those. I really want to see this space in person and get a listen on your system.

My basement ceiling is only 7’, and ducks down to 6’6” right in the middle due to HVAC. I definitely feel you on the need to treat ceilings.
