I know long lead times and delays on vinyl releases often lead to complaints, but I love forgetting about a preorder until I get a shipping notice much later. It feels almost like a free record by then!
I currently have 4 outstanding European Discogs orders that were placed between July 17th and August 12th. Hilariously the most recent one is the one that's slated to arrive today.
My father-in-law and I just bonded pretty hard over my 6 (to-date) different versions of Jesus Christ Superstar and I don't know if my wife's eyes are capable of rolling any further back into her head than they were during that conversation!
In the last ten minutes the baby has pulled a large salt lamp by the cable off a shelf, missing their head by mere inches, and I've choked worse than I've ever experienced before on a piece of egg and toast. Good thing I took a mental health day today. Very relaxing.
So, 2 years after the Canadian government rolled out CERB payments for people affected by covid-related shutdowns, for which I more than met all the criteria they have now decided they overpaid me and I supposedly owe them $2000 (that I do not have) - despite having already paid taxes on whatever CERB benefits I collected and it being TWO YEARS later!!
In addition to exploring other unfamiliar albums across the musical spectrum, I'll be bumping this on repeat once again in honour of National Indigenous Peoples Day today.
