So far, the 2-year-old's 2024 song of the year is The KKK Took My Baby Away. They've asked for it over three dozen times since I played the Drive-By Truckers' version last night!
New Year's is always a bit of a weird one for me, since I think our arbitrary, nonsensical calendar that honours Julius and Augustus Ceasar at the expense of it's own internal nomenclature is a bit stupid, but I do very much enjoy the sentiment of ending and beginning anew... therefore, I wish all the best to all of you for this next cycle of the silly calendar that measures "western civilization's" days!
After a week or more of sick wife and kid, my ability to dodge the bullet finally wore off and I've been down for the count the past two days... bless them both for letting me mostly be a lump on the couch!
Been strictly streaming these last two days: early R.E.M. and krautrock classics!

Tonight is the first time I ever listened to Robyn's Body Talk. I can see why people love it - it's fantastic. Even more fantastic was watching my wife and 2-year-old having a yoga and dance party for the entirety of the album!
