Getting through workdays by daydreaming about saving enough money, quitting and traveling for a year straight (or longer).
The last several years, I've picked a few bands to finally really dig into and subsequently get obsessed with (Steely Dan, Nick Cave &tBS, & King Gizz being previous examples). This year, it's looking like REM. An unbelievable number of bangers, and I'm only at the surface.
