    I haven't got around to listening to it yet but all excited to hear it as I've been enjoying most the singles (still not sure how I feel about "High Steppin'" though)

    listened to it and thought it was pretty good but felt a bit preachy to me even though I pretty much agreed with everything they addressed. I guess I just preferred when they sang about getting their shotguns rather than the problems with guns in movies.

    The cynic/businessman in me thinks that VMP is doing this to pad the cashflow account and cash on hand to try and be bought out, raise money, or something similar (probably not an IPO).

    I agree no IPO. But getting this much cash/hype in advance is a move companies do. It's why they might be trying to raise more funding/increase valuation. Maybe some of the cofounders want to sell some ownership to cash out a little. Who knows.

    I think that they’ve noticed a hit to the bottom line following the close of the forums and 6 months of really indifferent essentials. These 3 are big and in a row, it’s using FOMO to try and drive their numbers of essentials subscribers back up.

    Agreed. Because if they wanted to build hype dropping announcements month after month would have more of a punch then announcing all 3 at once.

    People who live in apartment buildings. Is there anything to worry about if there's a package for me in the USPS package box if it has to sit there for over a week? USPS wouldn't ship it back would they?

    I guess I didn't explain it well. The building has the mail system where a package is put in a lock box with the key left in your mailbox (that is also locked and you have the key for it)

    I would still place a USPS hold and use the apartment hold as a back up. That way it's still in the USPS Tracking system. If it's delivered to your apartment, that's lost.

    I thought I would have room in a cutout of the new apartment for two 3x3s. Turns out there's only room for 1. Now my new den is going to turn into the vinyl/book storage room and all the records will be in there with the turntable in the living room.

    Crappy cables will make your sound muddy and can cause a much bigger headache. I’m not saying to buy the most expensive, but I wouldn’t go the cheapest either.

    Get some Blue Jeans cables! Inexpensive, but really good quality

    Depends on how long the cables you need are...but the longer the cables, the more the sound can degrade depending on what cables you use as far as I know.

    The idea was the foam pads for under the speaker and the chopping board/feet for under the tt to be sure to be sure lol! The foam pads is definitely the minimum course of action you should take!

    @debianlinux I'm using sleeve city boxes and I bought 1 Odyssey crate that I put the top 50ish most expensive stuff in. I packed the turntable in the box it shipped in so it should be good as long as I didn't damage it when I put it in the box. Now it's up to the pro-movers to pack the truck safely tomorrow which I have my faith they can do....I hope

    I am using the Odyssey crates as well except they are in the 180-200ct range. I don’t have any original packaging material for my TT, though. I used to have Odyssey turntable and mixer crates when I had DJ TTs but all that got sold when we started having kids. The TT i have now is self refurbed from a pawn shop. I've moved 3 times with the Odyssey gear and it looks just like the day I bought it.

    The crate is a tank. Heavy as hell though with the handle being on top.

    Maybe something like this but an extra stiff thing of cardboard suspended above the stylus that won't move anywhere since you don't have the protector.

    Anyone have good ideas for packing/moving a 1 gallon jug of distilled water/cleaning solution that is basically full? It's not a twist top it's the cheap tip that you can flick off if you tried

    Thoughts on buying a DJ LP trunk to put the most valuable albums in for a move? Thinking either one that holds 75 or maybe one that holds 150?

    Yeah I'm thinking one of the smaller ones makes the most sense since i have like 10 sleeve city boxes already and those are pretty good too.

    And the monthly my records came messed up email is sent. Comet is Coming Warped, Scratch on the last song of the new SK album, and it looks like someone took a knife to Fist City's jacket.
