It appears there's a new start up trying to sell fans of bands a "fan club" for $10/month or $100 a year for a t-shirt and "exclusive giveaways and contests, access to unreleased music and videos, and best of all, the ability to connect personally with the band" Two bands I follow so far have announced it with exact copywriting. Kind of a lame idea
