9/11. I was in high school and nothing was ever canceled but much of the day was memorable. Every channel changed to coverage for about a week. I still associate that time with Radiohead’s Street Spirit.

Video games, pre internet , could be delayed for months or years and you’d have to call retailers on release day (weekly) to see if it was out. The closest thing to that is Kanye dropping a new album. It comes out when it comes out.
