So James Blake, whom I’ve never seen, is playing the same night as the Breeders and Belly show that I’ve already purchased a ticket for. I saw the Breeders a few months ago, but not playing Last Splash in it’s entirety. I’m conflicted.
Covid round 2! Or is it 3? Honestly can’t remember. The owners at my work changed the sick time policy from automatically starting with a certain amount to having to accrue it this year. This means I’m going to have to dip into my little bit of vacation time for the days I’m missing this week since I used what little sick time I had already. Where did I get Covid? At work. I love my job.
My neighbors have been kind enough to have parties the last 3 nights playing loud ass music well past 3am. Looks like they are trying to relax today. Heard 2 of them mention something about a hangover. Sucks for them because it’s time to listen to Alec Empire/Atari Teenage Riot at an extremely rude volume. From now until ???
I rise from my slumber wearing a Love and Rockets shirt to see that the aforementioned Love and Rockets have added a date here in Los Angeles outside of Cruel World Fest. And now I can see them! Assuming I get a ticket. I wore this shirt to work last night and played a bunch of their music. I made this happen you guys.
Guess I’m gonna see Unwound again tonight! They were amazing last night and seeing a band I thought I’d never get a chance to see was very cool. A friend text me saying they had an extra for tonight of course I said yes.
700+ records packed and ready to move I’d say it’s the worst part about moving, but technically splitting up with someone I thought I’d be spending the rest of my life with is the worst part.
Having a hard time with life right now which makes it hard to be at my shitty meaningless job, but if I’m not at my shitty meaningless job then life will be even harder.. yay
Found out I’m getting free tickets to This Ain’t No Picnic next month. Looks like I’m finally getting to see LCD Soundsystem among others. Very excited
