I’ve never noticed how much early Soundgarden sounds like Sabbath. I blame this on two things… 1. Being at work doing administrative tasks at 1230 am. 2. The amount of smoke in the rooms when I listened to this stuff in college.
Tonight is my first night on Third shift. This afternoon meeting I am in can go straight to hell.
Things I worry about for no real reason: just knowing there is a show called Help I Wrecked My House makes me think I will need their services.
First show since January 2020 tonight. Isbell and Hiss Golden Messenger. Excite excite!
Nothing like a day full of meetings to remind me why I hate meetings.

There are a few Carolina exclusives coming out on Friday. So far, I’ve identified Sylvan Esso, Mountain Man and The Brief Encounter. Wallet is sooooo tired.
I just want to stop for a moment and appreciate all of you. This is the only place where serious music discussion happens and folks can freely wave their banners for Dave Matthews, Jack Johnson and other seemingly reviled acts.
New Neal Francis is pretty awesome. It’s almost like some lost Elton John Psychedelic Funk album from the seventies.

Ceremonials turns 10 on Sunday. I guess it is getting promoted from one of my favorite albums of the decade to one of my favorite albums of the century.
Made burgers with impossible burger tonight. Didn’t hate them.
The bunny and the baby have synced their cycles. I have to change litter and empty the diaper pail every three days.
Listening to the new Strand of Oaks and contemplating spinning some War on Drugs next. Made me wonder if my wife is okay with all the dad rock I listen to. Then I remembered that she’s into Fleetwood Mac and the Foo Fighters.
Very much enjoyed Dune. Need part two stat. -
