Vinyl Me Please (store, exclusives, swaps, etc)

Depends. If the decision to terminate had been made prior, there is a strong argument for going ahead. If the complaint can be seen legally and morally as an attempt to evade a dismissal, it doesn't matter if it is three days or three months. If the employer feels the relationship has become...

Vinyl Me Please (store, exclusives, swaps, etc)

Generally, no. Wrongful dismissal, human rights, employment related litigation isn't usually insurable. Particularly today. It has become all too easy, and all too common, for those who can get away with it to claim 'discrimination' when terminated to elicit a higher payout. It often works...

Being a tax deductible donation only matters when the business has actual taxable net income to deduct against.

Vinyl Me Please (store, exclusives, swaps, etc)

UPDATE: I heard today that everyone was let go, except Matt and one other. Storf was let go at the same time Paul was. You don't have a 'going concern' with two employees. Particularly when one is the CEO - the most useless employee at this point. VMP is no longer a going concern. Right now...

Vinyl Me Please (store, exclusives, swaps, etc)

MikeH is absolutely right. It has been clear for awhile. There is only one reason for the absurdly lengthy production delays. THEY ARE ON C.O.D. AT THE PRESSING PLANTS AND EVERY SUPPLIER. Or worse - they have to pay up front for the whole order. That causes them to lose at least 3 months cash...

Vinyl Me Please (store, exclusives, swaps, etc)

Paulie was their last and best online defender. Letting him go was inevitable, he probably knew that. It's gotta be the walking dead at VMP now. As the cash flow dwindles and the liabilities add up, every time a payroll comes around they have to decide who they can still afford and who they...

Vinyl Me Please (store, exclusives, swaps, etc)

There are no launch dates. I believe their cash crunch is so severe they are on COD at pressing plants. So they need to move stock to get funds to get anything pressed. That's why release dates are a constantly shifting target. I also noticed a lot of preorders suddenly going to...

He can spend time answering emails or shipping records. I prefer shipping records. Emailing won't make it faster. Mine haven't shipped yet. I'm not bugging him. I've managed to live half a century without them. A bit more isn't an issue.

The TP has slightly different EQ. Not better, not worse. Slightly different. Same tape. Same mastering chain.

    Verve Record Club

Considering the music, it is worth the price and more. This record has always been somewhat overlooked - Ballads, ALS, VV and Birdland get more attention. And BTW, very sadly, Birdland went up in smoke - including all the unreleased material. But it is just a perfect record, start to finish...
