Vinyl Me Please Anthology

i ordered a GD set on behalf of my sister, who wanted to give it to her then-boyfriend (using her first responder credit, during the first of the plague-times, do ya 'member? I 'member). they broke up and got married and i think are breaking up again, so uh, i might have a GD set i don't actually need (since i have almost all of these albums via the GD box sets themselves). it's gonna be a real grateful dead March here at chez yukbon, just for the quality control listens....

I mean...they could rekindle again.

Probably happen at some point, though mostly will involve Phish not GD.

I have seen a couple romance novels revolving around music festival cruises so why not expand the theme to dead heads
If it was Phish, it’d probably include a second act scene where the main male character professes his love for the female lead at Phish Mexico while on acid, the female rejects him, and the male proceeds to strip naked and bum rush the stage to try and play the drums before being apprehended by security.

And yes, this did happen. Accusation that naked 'idiot' lawyer injured Phish fan while rushing stage leads to legal discipline for writer

They don’t do returns just FYI. If you end up getting a whole new set i may be interested in the damaged one…keep us updated on how it gets resolved!
got the final reply today- They are sending a new slipcase-. The communication has been good- I wasn't sure if it would be given the pending demise I keep reading about on here... I replied - asking if it were possible for me to ship back the whole damaged one and get a fresh sealed numbered unit- because presenting a damaged/ numbered box set with an undamaged and I assume NOT numbered unsealed slipcase- is not the way I want to or intended to, gift this to a friend.

Don’t think I’ve ever seen them ask for a return and don’t know if they even have a system set up to accept returns…but good luck! There’s also a decent chance they accidentally send you a whole new set by accident 😂

Kinda surprised they haven't shut it down yet. Anyone actually receive orders from them in the last 1-2 weeks?
It’s not a fulfillment window currently. Next stuff should start shipping in the next week or so if there is another shipping window…

So just so I understand...we have a failing company here barely hanging on - many of us are hoping they can sustain themselves long enough to produce a few long awaited titles, many of whom we have pre-paid for and may never see our money back for - and you want VMP to swap for an entirely new box set (and eat the loss on the first one) because of the number on the slipcase. I have that right? Adding to the losses that are speeding their demise along?

Get a gold marker pen and write the number in a nice script on the slipcase.

Thanks.

So just so I understand - you expect others to be ok with not getting what they paid for, just so you can get everything that you paid for?

so then ... No. I received a damaged product and I would like it replaced with an UN damaged product. the end.

Awwww.....let's get a 'I paid for it with my hard earned money and I expect it to be perfect' in while we are at it, huh?

And for EricJ32...he got EXACTLY what he paid for. A set of records, and a slipcase. One part was damaged - the slipcase. They replaced it.

THE END! Or...Los Endos!!

Get a f....ng gold marker and write the freaking number on it, that's how they number it at the warehouse dude.

If you are so obsessive that you need someone at the warehouse, the same person who wrote the numbers on the original slipcase, to write it on for you...get help.

And don't use the 'its for a friend' line. No it isn't. That's the oldest line to justify the obssessive behavior.

The only universe in which they’ve replaced the damaged slipcase is the one you’ve created out of thin air to justify your rage-posting.

So just so I understand...I have that right?
You don’t have that right, and you don’t understand. They just want a replacement box because theirs was damaged. They have not received a replacement yet.

Regardless, they shouldn't have to choose between getting a numbered box or an undamaged box since they paid for both.

You’re calling people out for something you would do yourself. Anyone could just as easily complain about you for expecting to get what you paid for from a failing company.

This hostility is getting old - there’s no place for it here.
