I am checking out his site. Curious how you can tell from his postings that they are audiophile pressings? He has a lot of great options. Thanks.
It's just a record store so you need to know what labels and things to look for. Not everything on his site is "audiophile".
They aren't all audiophile in his shop. But if you click on the "shop by label" link, the labels he has listed are audiophile labels. So, just click on each of those labels and you'll be able to check out the audiophile options. Other than those (and not every MOV pressing is audiophile), you've got the two great Rhino hifi series. Beyond that you usually need to investigate or ask here for the best pressing of an album and a lot of experience hunting those down here.
They shipped mine, too. I’m getting Rouse and Tolliver/Slug’s. I already have Japanese Musa from 70s. I’ve owned and sold a couple versions of Slugs (PP and an JP press of Vol 1) and have not been happy w any of them so I’m hoping this reissue improves on them. It may just be the recording isn’t good but I love the music so am hopeful. Drooling for the Pharoah RSD release.
