Cocktails

I don't think this thread is "dead," just I don't post everytime I enjoy a cocktail. Please keep it up as you all remember to post! I enjoy any inspirations for cocktails!

Full disclosure, I'm fairly buzzed on wine right now, otherwise I'd be posting some cocktails! 🍷

I tried a new-to-me Negroni riff last night and subsequently added it to the notebook:

It tastes almost exactly like those Haribo Happy Cola gummies.

I like the looks of this one! I've been out of Chartreuse (both yellow and green, actually) for a while, and they've been hard to come by around here.

It's finally starting to creep back onto shelves around here, so I try to keep it on hand (but treat it gently).

I think it's really clever to mix it 1:1 with Fernet Branca, which is a very dry, medicinal amaro. You essentially skip using a base spirit entirely, but you don't lose any potency as both Fernet and Yellow Chartreuse are quite robust. The overall sweetness ends up balancing out, between the Fernet + Chartreuse and the lime + Demerara. Very enjoyable.

Noted that it was a relatively low alcohol one, too. Very responsible of you for a Monday!
