Record Store Day 2025

I hear that the Wicked Soundtrack is this year's most sought after release. My local record store ordered it, but didn't get it. Said it was heavily allocated. He made an announcement to everyone waiting in line that he didn't get it in and if that's all you are here for to try you luck at another record store.

I can't imagine how they thought limiting an exclusive color of massive stan soundtrack with a new track to 2000 copies was a good idea. It was the first thing gone at my store

If anyone sees Cunninglynguists Southern Underground... I struck out at the one shop I hit and had to be on a bus for a wine tour by 9:30am and couldn't try anywhere else.

Yeah my local said they only released 1,000 but it was a super popular title so most stores only ended up with 2 copies if they were lucky and of course they went super fast.

My little comic book store has a small vinyl section and is participating in RSD for the first time. Swung by and grabbed the Bowie for a very reasonable $45. Sadly no Replacements, but got shorted and hope to get it in this week

If any canucks are looking for the Zevon box ($125) or Hindu Love Gods ($40), Shudder To Think (also $40) or Talking Heads live ($50), I can swing by again this afternoon and grab them.

First time making it to Exiled in Portland. I was way back in a very long line, so very pleased to find all 5/5 on my list.

I wasn’t familiar with that La Lom album but they were spinning it at my store while I was shopping and the only reason I knew that is because it piqued my interest enough to look. I didn’t buy it but it was a cool album nonetheless.

Great band, well worth catching live next time they pass through your neck of the woods. Actually opening for Leon Bridges at Edgefield here in late May.
