I saw a The Band tribute act called Chest Fever last night. They play material from The Last Waltz, and recruit local talent in each city they play to play bit parts. (Van Morrison, Muddy Waters, Neil Young etc) What a show. They're a San Diego band, has anyone else seen or heard of them?

I think I'll dive into some 33 1/3 books...I haven't read any of them yet. Double Nickels and Swordfish are first up I think. Will this series make me want them all? I feel more collecting is coming.
The weather has been so great lately I've been on the patio streaming music instead of spinning vinyl most days. Last week featured a lot of Fontaines DC, Black Country New Road, Bill Callahan, Dan Reeder and Sparklehorse. (I have none of these artists on vinyl yet)

The Compulsive Gamblers were fantastic last night. And I got to chat a bit with Greg Cartwright after the show - seems like a good guy, and seriously, what a performance. (I didn't ask him why Reigning Sound broke up.)

Sir Elton was fantastic last night. Great setlist, although I was really hoping to hear Grey Seal. He did do a couple deeper cuts though, like Have Mercy on the Criminal.
I'm due for some N&G merch, beer koozies would be cool but since they don't exist, maybe a coffee cup.
