I'm presenting on this film at a conference this week. I intended to just do this as a fun paper so I didn't have to work too hard and could just enjoy Chicago, but I got roped into serious research presentations too. But I'm most excited to talk about this movie about AI that bombed.

I have, sadly. Like others I've been buying more CDs and it's starting to suck. But that Dylan and The Band CD box set is a good example. Came out last year with 27 CDs for about $100. That seems far more reasonable.

I love the whole thing too.

This one is more appealing to me than the Europe 72. But for CDs this should be half the price and they'd still make a lot of money on it.

That happened to me with Bandbox. Also I've gotten random people from other states mail that got stuck in a vinyl mailer. It's happened three times. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird it's happened three times

I would avoid Friday Music pressings. They claim to be audiophile but a dozen of theirs and every single one has been crap. And they're way overpriced. I have rarely had a bad MOV pressing.

Damn, wish it was for vol 2. I've been trying to find that one on sale for a while.

@Twentytwo did you get this one? I'd like it more if the recording was clearer. It has moments, but the vocals sound like they're beneath a layer of plastic wrap. Still it's great. My favorite band you turned me onto.

Each year Magnetic Eye chooses a band, then they pick one whole album from their catalog and a bunch of collected songs (greatest hits and deep cuts) for a second album of covers. Last year they did Jethro Tull. Year before was Soundgarden I think. I think they've done ten or so by now.

Kitchen Dwellers - The Relix Sessions I was a little disappointed with how muddy this recording is, but the cover of Elton's Mona Lisas and Mad Hatters was worth the price of admission.
