Poor Bandbox. Too dumb to know how to do arithmetic. Sale price - production and operation cost = Well, it shouldn't equal a negative number.

Ha I remember totally wanting to order something a few weeks before they went dark but saying to myself ‘I should hold onto these last bandbox for something better down the road.’ Whoops.

I still had about $80 or something I never spent. But didn’t actually buy the gift card…I spent my VMP credit but most of it was referrals and the stuff I have left on preorder was paid for with referral credits. So if they never come to fruition oh well.

I almost bit a couple of times on those steeply discounted gift cards. When they did the big push a few weeks before they disappeared I have $200 in gift cards in my basket but luckily thought better of the situation.

No I'm good but thanks for the offer. I still had $240 left on the gift card when they filed bankruptcy. Should have just ordered everything that was available in the last few weeks when I had a chance.

It's been quiet for a long while on the VNYL front. I wonder if they'll pick up again, since they weren't involved in sending these. Polyvinyl is the goat for sending these to us for nothing.

Woah awesome! I got a shipping notification from Champaign, which is probably that. It really is great they did that. I never thought I’d get these tbh (I even bought Blue Rev in the interim)
 
Agreed it's been relatively quiet on that front lately.

I decided to play it 'safe' and ordered the Zia RSD exclusive of Superchunk's Here's Where the Strings Come In. Maybe I'll eventually receive the Bandbox purple version to go with the yellow, maybe not, but at least I do have a copy.

Though I know that Barsuk put out black versions of The Long Winters albums, I held off on those because VNYL clearly has possession of them and I'm determined to receive them at some point... not determined enough to create a Reddit account and harass him directly, of course :LOL:

I sent him a message earlier today and will ask about those Long Winters records (also the Kurt Vile and Baseball Project)
