It's moreso the higher seeds are playing "with nothing to lose" no one expects them to win whereas the top seeds have that pressure. One comes out with expectations the other comes out swinging like there's no tomorrow. Usually it catches up and the better team settles in to the game, finds out how to stop the run, and keeps it movingI don’t watch a lot of college basketball, but why does it seem that so many higher seeds will storm out to a big lead, but slowly, over time the lower seed will get back into the game and finish with a comfortable victory. Is it not sustainable for a “worse” team to continue that form for the entire game? It reminds me of in horse racing how there are some horses who’s sole purpose is to run out to a huge lead but they’ll always tire and fall in the back of the pack.
