A Rush of Blood to the Thread: Coldplay

Just went through the Coldplay discography again and my freshest ranking is

1. Parachutes
2. X&Y (This album is great and I won't hear otherwise!)
3. Viva La Vida
4. A Rush of Blood to the Head
5. Ghost Stories
6. Mylo Xyloto


7. A Head Full of Dreams

I was really getting into Johnny's guitar playing this go around.

Will be interested to see where the new one lands. I have high hopes so far!

Hey I think we may agree although I could swap 1 and 3 depending on the week I’m having. Yes X&Y was often referred to as my favorite Coldplay album , but viva is their best.


List def gets a shake up after EL
 
Listened to the album this morning...

For me it’s another of those ‘it’s...fine, I guess?’ Albums

They’re really the most unadventurous ‘adventurous’ bands
 
As someone who has listened to the leak , I will say several tracks are growers. This is pretty adventurous given what Coldplay has done. Viva was even more safe in regards to the album as a whole.
 
Also thanks to coldplaying I have the videos of sunrise and sunset , as well as the MP3 versions , as well as all the featurettes and the 12 mins before sunrise.

It’s under 2gb if anyone is wanting to grab. Also I got Flags (Japan bonus track)

Also the only time I variant chased it was because it was two colors. Can’t decide if I “need” the clear. To speak out loud about my anxiety, I have every vinyl release with the exception of one 7” . Help.
