So I've taken all of the year end lists and assigned point totals to each spot (1=20, 2=19,....20=1) to find out which artists are the best overall. I broke it down into decades at first but will be doing a overall list at the very end. I'll be releasing the info over the next few days starting with the top 25 artists of the 60s tonight.

Just for clarity sake an artist has to be mentioned as a lead artist for an album for them to count. For example John Coltrane plays on Kind of Blue by Miles Davis, Davis gets these points and Coltrane doesnt. However for an album like Duke Ellington and John Coltrane both get points since they are both are listed as main artists. I'm debating on giving all individuals points for albums they appear on the final list, but this also might be too much, so we will see. Currently Paul Simon is different than Simon and Garfunkel, but maybe I'll give Paul the combined points of both at the end.

The Top 25 Artists of the 60s should be up once I'm done dinner.
