I love Dylan more than the Beatles.Maybe Dylan? He's probably not as beloved but has had a way longer career with a tonne of records.
There I said it.

Oh, I definitely do, too. And looking a bit at the spreadsheet, I think Dylan is going to take #1.I love Dylan more than the Beatles.

There are 4 contemporary acts in the top 19. There is a major shocker in the top 5 for me, and one of the contemporary acts I dont think belongs in the top 19, but besides that I think the rest of the top is fairly on point.
Close on a few, but wrong on all. Last hint. See yall tomorrow. My guess of the top five,
1. Dylan
2. The Beatles
3. Radiohead
4. The National (does not belong)
5. Bowie
(6. Miles?)

REM is the surprise of the list imo.I'm looking at that list and I'm like damn, that's one woman.
Also R.E.M. is definitely a surprise! Would not have thought them above Radiohead, or even Bowie above Dylan.

And yes sadly this list is a boys club, only 11 female fronted acts on the entire list (not counting bands like Sonic Youth, Pixies, Arcade Fire etc.. that have a prominent woman in the group)
