Pretty good year for music, although not stellar in my opinion. I found it to be female dominant for my tastes!

It just barely didn't make it. It was on my list but then got booted to #11. 2017 was a great year! I also almost had those Aldous and Sinkane albums!

Awaken My Love was a 2016 release, wasn't it? I think it ended up on a lot of 2017 year-end lists because it came out so late in 2016

...shit, it was. I guess I confused it for a 2017 album because “Redbone” was one of the biggest hits of that year and it was nominated at the 2018 Grammys. Thanks for the reminder, I went back & updated my list!

Just revisited my top 10 from 2017; the same albums, slightly different order. The biggest change was the Alex Cameron record which was previously #9. I kept listening to it throughout 2018 and beyond.

It was December 2016...I think standard procedure for most music publications these days is to push anything released in December to the subsequent year, but if I'm the only one counting it for '17, I'll happily amend:
