me too. I wonder with the Pipe-Eye pre-order having just gone up if that would mean that we wouldn't be seeing any Gizz pre-orders just yet. though I feel like Fishing For Fishies happened not long after the new Murlocs went up so we'll see.

this and Planet B definitely have very strong, early Metallica vibes. this new one is almost like a heavier, thashier "Road Train". also when Stu sings the 'auto-cremate, self-immolate' part I can't help but think of "Dopesmoker", with the same monotone, droney vocals

I was about to comment how much the vocals reminded me of Sleep. It's so boneheaded and gnarly, can't wait to hear this stuff live in July. Though they said because The Murlocs have been so busy they haven't rehearsed the live show and they don't know how the new stuff will incorporate, album will be great anyway.

I can't wait.

I don't know if this will be their best album, but it's probably going to be my favourite Gizz album as it leans more towards my preferred genre. I'm so psyched they're doing a heavier album.

seems to be some kind of skull, there are clearly teeth, eye socket and nostril. they also wrote the title of the song wrong

Yeah for sure, I think the vulture skull was on the right track, but then vultures don't have teeth, so it's like a weird shrine amalgamated from bones and teeth (I suppose the skulls of People Vultures would have teeth though). There's like a grate there too, so you would put something or stand there to be burned? Like a sacrifice? Kind of fits into the Self Immolate idea I guess.
 
I'm sure many/most in this thread are already aware, but if you're not, make sure to check out the new Psychedelic Porn Crumpets album that came out Friday. It's outstanding - one of my favorites of the year so far. King Gizzard fans should really dig it.
