I surely don't mind waiting, mostly wanting to frame expectations. I've ordered a few things that have already been released, and have been happy with them. I pre-ordered this time as I had a better than average discount code and nothing else appealed to me. That said, I suppose I could have waited until it started shipping, and pounced when the next inevitable discount code lands.
