Not a surprise for Nick and every other data whoring scummy company, no.is that a surprise? thats why companies buy subscription companies all the time. they want the user base and information.
I'd be more surprised at companies that DON'T want that info tbh.Not a surprise for Nick and every other data whoring scummy company, no.
this is worse than i imagined, lordGather 'round children. Let me tell of the story of VNYL.
VNYL Sliding: Why The “Netflix For Vinyl” Service Is Such A Mess
When VNYL launched its Kickstarter campaign on December 22, 2014, the goal was to obtain $10,000 in funding. When the campaign ended 17 days later, on January 9, 2015, the project’s organizers had nearly quadrupled that goal, amassing $36,000 total. That money came in part thanks to countless...www.stereogum.com
Sad when that attitude is the norm. As long as we get our stuff we can continue to ignore it.I'd be more surprised at companies that DON'T want that info tbh.
realistically speaking, i buy things on the internet. companies have my email address and physical address and name. if i was completely against it, I wouldn't buy things online.Sad when that attitude is the norm. As long as we get our stuff we can continue to ignore it.
Not sure why you’re passively dragging this out. My initial comment was lamenting the fact that Nick, who has a spotty track record at best, is gaining more information and continuing in the very business he’s seemingly not been friendly to.realistically speaking, i buy things on the internet. companies have my email address and physical address and name. if i was completely against it, I wouldn't buy things online.
may be worth a shot to reach out with the email address in question and say you don't have the order numbers anymore or have access to the email address if you really want the records. juice may not be worth the squeeze though.I have no access to the orders I’m owed or the email address used for them. It’s cool.
I’m not that broken hearted about it.may be worth a shot to reach out with the email address in question and say you don't have the order numbers anymore or have access to the email address if you really want the records. juice may not be worth the squeeze though.
I'm proud of his transition franklyNick Alt IS Pam
It's gotta be some kinda secret code for an underground BDSM fetish club he runs. Really the only explanation for putting that terrible string of words together.the phrase "banger vinyls" constitutes a crime against humanity
I didn't even get that, what is he charging for shipping these days.Well, got an invoice for shipping. Not sure what's in it, says BB Phase 1 in note.
It was $7ish. Not sure where it's shipping from, except that it was paid to vinylbox.I didn't even get that, what is he charging for shipping these days.
Seemed like $7 for 1 and $13 for 2-3?It was $7ish. Not sure where it's shipping from, except that it was paid to vinylbox.

From everything I’ve seen/heard, bandbox’s records are uh…..something hah. We’ll see if they fulfill anything past these first few titles. I really want the Luna Rendezvous and Hadley Caliman- Iapetus . Those are the two I’d be saddest about never gettingIn this case, it's technically a good thing. He told the bankruptcy court he intended to fulfill all the orders, and Bandbox provided proof of the outstanding orders along with the information as to whom & where the records should be shipped. Sure, he was likely also taking the list so he could personally try to sell all those customers on the new service but I'll still take it as overall good news.
Knowing that he's involved, and watching both the company and then he separately offer up a record I'm waiting on (Superchunk), lessens my belief that I'll ever see all (any?) of the records but at least it's possible. Maybe between Barsuk & John haranguing him, those Long Winters records will get moving, too. My address hasn't changed.
