Pam rulesI also swapped my Bob Mould order a couple weeks ago for Cassadaga. As always, Pam worked her magic.

And with that my gift card is used up. Agree that the drops have improved dramatically the last couple of months, and this was a no brainer.
Dang! Exceptional pick here. Spinning the 30th anniversary copy from their website right now deciding if I need a better version. Second half of side A has some noise issues.
I think Lincoln is Essential. If you could only own 1 TMBG, this is the one.probably might buy that copy of lincoln, I know many people who say that's one of the best albums ever made but I never had gotten into TMBG (despite my love of homestar runner and other college/geek rock adjacent ideas that are inspired by TMBG).. and MAYBE might buy that atmosphere as well in case the VMP atmosphere we are getting is a lackluster one
I mean I'm probably gonna pick this up if it's still around next pay day, but I would say Flood is the essential record.I think Lincoln is Essential. If you could only own 1 TMBG, this is the one.

Agreed. An early pressing of Flood is the only other TMBG record I own so I'm really happy with this pick!I mean I'm probably gonna pick this up if it's still around next pay day, but I would say Flood is the essential record.
I almost got their exclusive variant of lissies new albu. When I saw it got delayed I gave the album a listen and decided I didn't like the album as much as I thought I would so I canceled my order. I was afraid it would get delayed for close to a year or more like another album I ordered and I wasn't really that interested in the zine. It doesn't seem like they offer enough good albums to warrant getting a membership.I left the club for like six months and I don’t think I’ve ever had everything fulfilled, ever.

I left awhile ago too. My Jose Gonzales arrived without the zine and they've since promised me 3-4 times that they would send one my way. I eventually gave up.I left the club for like six months and I don’t think I’ve ever had everything fulfilled, ever.
While those are their most essential records i have to admit that John Henry is my favourite of theirsIf you could only own 2 TMBG….
Yea you’re right. Flood is the more essential of the two. I just prefer Lincoln.
Definitely agree - the Rufus Wainwright albums, Yo La Tengo & TMBG are all awesome albums and there are more than a few gems I would never have heard without Bandbox. Really excellent customer service too, at least as good as VMPs.Well, they don’t have a club anymore. They also have their moments.
Can’t say I’ve ever even read any of the zines but still annoying they didn’t send it. I’ve been pestering them a bit about my free test pressing and they keep saying they hope to send it soonI left awhile ago too. I was told test pressings would be sent around the date you joined (august for me). Can’t say I’ve ever even read any of the zines but still annoying they didn’t send it. I’ve been pestering them a bit about my free test pressing and they keep saying they hope to send it soon
