probably might buy that copy of lincoln, I know many people who say that's one of the best albums ever made but I never had gotten into TMBG (despite my love of homestar runner and other college/geek rock adjacent ideas that are inspired by TMBG).. and MAYBE might buy that atmosphere as well in case the VMP atmosphere we are getting is a lackluster one

I think Lincoln is Essential. If you could only own 1 TMBG, this is the one.

I mean I'm probably gonna pick this up if it's still around next pay day, but I would say Flood is the essential record.

Yea you’re right. Flood is the more essential of the two. I just prefer Lincoln.

Agreed. An early pressing of Flood is the only other TMBG record I own so I'm really happy with this pick!

I almost got their exclusive variant of lissies new albu. When I saw it got delayed I gave the album a listen and decided I didn't like the album as much as I thought I would so I canceled my order. I was afraid it would get delayed for close to a year or more like another album I ordered and I wasn't really that interested in the zine. It doesn't seem like they offer enough good albums to warrant getting a membership.

I left awhile ago too. My Jose Gonzales arrived without the zine and they've since promised me 3-4 times that they would send one my way. I eventually gave up.

Definitely agree - the Rufus Wainwright albums, Yo La Tengo & TMBG are all awesome albums and there are more than a few gems I would never have heard without Bandbox. Really excellent customer service too, at least as good as VMPs.

Can’t say I’ve ever even read any of the zines but still annoying they didn’t send it. I’ve been pestering them a bit about my free test pressing and they keep saying they hope to send it soon
