The album is good and it's growing on me with each subsequent listenThe new Unknown Mortal Orchestra album is excellent. Maybe my second favorite from them after Multi-Love.

this new Beach Fossils track is some good shit
No not at all. Beach Fossils formed in 2009. Beach House formed in 2004. I'd say they're a contemporary band within the same genre more/less.Is Beach Fossils a boomer version of Beach House?

the full thing isn't out until April 7th, but there's already 4 songs out from it.I saw they had one coming soon. But haven't checked this out yet- will have to do so ok the drive home. Their last one was a pleasant surprise for me.
Nice to see someone else who appreciates deathcrash!Last two weeks. Saving tomorrow's drops for Q2 consideration.
Close to rounding out Q1 favorites chart...
- 100 gecs - 10000 gecs [another helping of bite-sized tunes to thrash violently around to]
- deathcrash - Less [yeah...thanks a bunch P4K. Very intriguing slowcore]
- The Daily Bread - Invisible Cinema [thanks, @NateOEB]
- Downfall of Gaia - Silhouettes of Disgust
- H. Hawkline - Milk for Flowers
- Lonnie Holley - Oh Me Oh My [hmm...this has the sound of an album released by a legendary artist within 365 days of their future passing. Knock on wood, I know...]
- Lia Kohl - The Ceiling Reposes
- Kruelty - Untopia [thanks, @musicjunkiegreg]
- mui zyu - Rotten Bun for an Eggless Century
- Sleaford Mods - UK Grim [certainly different, but I don't mind it at all. Far better than Spare Ribs from two years ago]
- Yves Tumor - Praise a Lord Who Chews but Which Does Not Consume; (Or Simply, Hot Between Worlds) [stuck between here and the highest tier. Leaving here for now]
- Fever Ray - Radical Romantics [why do you like this so much, P4K?!?!? I almost thought about moving this down]
- Shalom - Sublimation
- Tei Shi - Bad Premonition (EP) [some OK songs, some dull. It's too safe overall. I still want to see her live tho]
- Theophonos - Nightmare Visions
- Joe Westerlund - Elegies for the Drift
- William Basinski - The Clocktower at the Beach (1979) (archival) [pretty amazing how Basinski still manages to create ambient music that doesn't spark joy for me at all]
- Bub Styles - Outerwear SZN 3
- Miley Cyrus - Endless Summer Vacation [bland, but not enough to be outright repulsive]
None.

Sent my way by a my musical spirit animal from the college years. Shades of moderm St Vincent.
Early St. Vincent definitely has a different soundAs opposed to vintage St. Vincent?
