2024 was both a fantastic and challenging year on a personal level but as far as 🆕 music 🎵 releases are concerned it was down right amazing 🤩 at least for me. As I gladly say goodbye 👋 to the year that was, and look forward ⏩ to the 🆕 year ahead, I want to take this moment to wish everyone a very Happy New Year! May 2025 bring everyone much joy, happiness, health, prosperity but above all loads of hours of listening 🎧 pleasure 🥂

Now what is everyone anticipating the most in 2025?

No date but high chance of dropping
  • Kali Uchis (was supposed to drop 2 last year and only did 1)

  • Natalie Prass (she’s been on my “Oh God Please Drop this year list” since 2020. I think this may be the year she actually does it!!)

Mogwai have a new record in 2025.

Jan Jelinik is reissuing a 20-year edition of Kosmischer Pitch on his own label. Brueder Selke & Midori Hirano have an album coming out with a really colourful and bright cover. There's a first vinyl pressing of Al-Zulfiquar Shaheed by MUSLIMGAUZE to look forward to, along with the release of Peter Brotzmann's final recordings at Café OTO in 2023.
 
I have no idea whose releasing music next year but I'd love to get music from Weyes Blood, TOPS, cate le bon , hatchie, ada lea, the beths and aldous harding because its been a few years since they have released new albums. Does anyone know of anybody who has been confirmed or is rumored to be releasing a new album next year.

Colemine has already said they are announcing two albums in January.

I anticipate a new I’m With Her album coming too given their teases online coinciding with tour announcements.

I've ordered the ghost variant of humanhood even though I wish the jacket was signed. Since it was the same price as the eco blue variant I went for that one even though I don't like ordering from rough trade because of their expensive shipping. I'm interested in artists who haven't announced anything yet that will be releasing new music next year.
