aubades is currently nestled nicely in my February top 3 after just a single listen when it dropped last week. It struck me far deeper than I expected. So good!

It's going to be high up there for me, I can already tell. I'm only on track 2, but if it keeps it up... sheesh.

well, it's more a 'hot take' than a spoiler :devilish:

it's a really enjoyable listen, whereas i found everything from transference to now a bit of a slog and like the band was either going thru the motions or conducting a sonic experiment that didn't quite work

this is more locked into that spoon groove that i have dug since i first heard telephono way back in 1996!

Damn! Paul Draper is in some good company. Seems like his new solo album is getting a lot of good reviews. I saw a video for one of the songs and he was almost unrecognizable but I guess that's what happens when you haven't seen a photo of someone for almost 20 years!
