I'm just listening to Alexis Taylor's album "Silence" and enjoying it. The singer is Hot Chip's vocalist and the songs are quite beautiful and tranquil, with sparse piano arrangements and focus on lyrics.

If I really like a band, I'd rather they churn out more music that sounds like what they've done well. However, with this War on Drugs album, I think I'd rather they change up the formula a little bit. It sounds like if you had a computer making this album going down the list and ticking the boxes of what always is in a TWOD album. It's very on the nose for what a TWOD album is.
