I agree. There's a relief not to be champing at the bit to compete with a bunch of other people for limited records.

So, VMP published a book from the articles they wrote about the best record stores in the US? I can't speak for all of them, but I remember reading about the Michigan store (the name escapes me, it's in the upper peninsula) when they wrote it, and that choice was not even close to the best. I went there, it was mostly antique store rejects, albeit a TON of them.
