Man, just when I thought I was pulled back in. I got my serviced deck back from a reputable source and of course tape 1 gets eaten after 20 minutes. Had to reel it back in and seems to look alright. He's gonna take another look at it on Saturday. It's 45 years old, so maybe my expectations should've been tempered. With that said, back to vinyl I go.

Finally getting around to this Dead Kennedys debut reissue from last year. Cassettes are weird. The sound just kind of meanders between channels. It’s nutso. I should probably listen to that hardcore comp or my copy of Give Me Convenience… to see if it’s a mix thing or what. Anyhow, it sounds good just a little bonkers.

Edit, I think it’s a mix thing. Listening to Chemical Warfare on the Suburban Annihilation comp presently and it’s back and forth but a little crisper. Could be the transients, but I’m guessing it was a choice.
