Louisa Branscomb has a new album. She’s a songwriter for many different bluegrass artists. Lots of cameos from folks like Molly Tuttle, Sierra Hull, Claire Lynch, Dale Ann Bradley. Super stoked that Spotify alerted me to it this morning!

Looks great, I made the mistake of trusting my local record store the they said, “oh, yeah we will definitely get the indie exclusive” and of course they did not and now it’s seemingly sold out. If anyone stumbles across a copy of the indie exclusives at retail, PM me the link or if you find one at a local store, I will reimburse ya for purchase and shipping cost. If not, no biggie I will wait til the black version is under $20 and grab on of those. The cover are looks great too.View attachment 13159
Some hardcore Childers fans are mad online about him and Sturgill switching up some arrangements on the songs for the studio versions. Sounds pretty great to me though.

Yes! I'm excited to hear the full studio version of 'The Chain'.
People will always complain about something. Most of those Childers fans would prefer every song be just him and an acoustic guitar (which would still be great). I think the production on the album is fantastic.
FWIW, when I was first hearing the hype train about Tyler build I put off listening to purgatory because I really didn’t enjoy his acoustic live YouTube videos but after finally giving Purgatory a Chance I almost immediately fell in love with it which in turn helped me enjoy the live stuff more.It is like this mentality now that you can't like someone once they start making a living playing music. I found about Childers when Purgatory came out and from Sturgill Simpson but when I went and saw him in concert people where just talking about how bad Purgatory was and how overproduced it is.
Yeah, nows the time to list it for absurd prices. More power too em. I doubt anyone will bite at $200 but I am certain folks with more money than common sense or patience will over pay for some colored wax.Absolutely ridiculous!

The current album and Steak Night prior are two great country records. If you don't have them, grab them because they are the real deal. There was an amazing album released today by Tyler Childers, maybe the best of the year, but hidden in the ether is a bonafide gem from Mike and the Moonpies.
