Another A+ song from her. Really hope this is a sign that a new album is on the way from her.

In the email she sent out with the new song there was the following quote so i'd say there will def. be a new album in the near future.

"After what feels like an eternity, I’m releasing a new song into the wild. It’s been hard to keep everything I’ve been working on for the last year to myself and I’m so excited to share it." - Margo Price

and she finished up her 2 album deal with Third Man and is now signed to Loma Vista

a little more info on this track and hopefully a new album dropping soon.. Pretty cool Sturgill was involved as well.

There is currently no name or release date for the new Margo Price record, though the album has been thought to be finished for well over a year, and is rumored to have been recorded in Los Angeles. Sturgill Simpson co-produced “Stone Me” with David Ferguson, and it was co-written with Margo’s husband and fellow performer Jeremy Ivey. The song features Benmont Tench of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers on piano, Pino Palladino on bass, James Gadson on drums, and Matt Sweeney on electric guitar. Margo Price has been sharing her frustration on the delay of releasing new music for a while.

I’d like to interject into this Margo Price lovefest for just a moment to let it be known that I really like the new Marcus King record. Now that that’s out of the way, carry on.

Listening to it now, about halfway through. I like it a lot and will probably pick up a copy soon. I agree about Easy Eye as a label, I'm a fan of most of their artists. If you haven't already, check out Shannon & the Clams - The Onion. It's sort of rock a billy meets the west coast.

Shannon & The Clams are great. If you dig it I’d highly recommend taking a listen to Shannon Shaw’s solo album Shannon in Nashville.

Easy Eye is a solid label. If I weren’t behaving they would join Colemine and Single Lock as instabuy status. Hey @Twentytwo i bet this has a good chance for MRC as either for next month too.

Yes, could be. For some reason I don't love Marcus King's music though. I did reach out to Easy Eye Sound to see if they had ever thought about starting a record club and am waiting to hear back. They have a great roster.

I was unfamiliar and have not reached into his back catalog. The new album is quite good and listed as a solo project.

Just in case anyone here doesn’t check out the pre-order thread:

Watkins Family Hour have a new album called "Brother Sister" hitting stores on 4/10. This is the 2nd studio album from sibling duo Sean and Sara Watkins. While both are successful artists on their own -- Sean with his solo career which spans 5 albums, Sara with her own solo career as well as her successful Grammy nominated band, I'm With Her -- 'brother sister' finds the two joining each other again for the first time since 2015's self-titled release. The album was produced by Mike Viola (Jenny Lewis, Mandy Moore).

Indie Exclusive White, Green & Purple Vinyl limited to 250 pieces!

So what do you think of the no depression quaterly. Looks appealing, but i would have to sub for a year, otherwise shipping is prohibitive. Any opinions in the recent issues?

I read the online version quite frequently and would be interested to know what folks think about the print version.
