The Canadian music scene has been a favourite place of mine to spend time for the past 20 years or so. Been off the festival circuit for about 5 now and miss it all the time. Some real gems all over the place up here.

I keep holding out hope that Hayden's stuff will all get repressed one day. One of my absolute favorite Canadian alt-country/grunge/indie what have you musicians. Can't even find any for the ridiculous amounts they used to go for second hand. He also is way overdue for a new album.

Me either, from the first time i ever heard the Ballad of RAA they have been one of my favorite bands. I'd probably say Hometowns and Mended with Gold are my favorites but I love all their records. This might be my favorite song of theirs. Don't hold me to it though.

I picked up tickets for Orville Peck first weekend of August, can't wait to see him live but it's still a ways off. I hope RAA announce some Canadian tour dates soon, only American dates so far. I'd love to see them again.

I think @Twentytwo mentioned it in the preorder thread but I hadn’t gotten around to giving it a listen but I just heard Hailey Whitters new album, Raised profiled on NPR Weekend Edition and I gotta say it’s checking a lot of boxes for me. It reminds me a bit of early Kacey Musgraves.
